X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy study of the ionic configuration of the spinel CuMnCoO4

X-ray photoelectron spectra are reported for the spinels CuMnCoO 4 , CoMn 2 O 4 , Co 2 MnO 4 and CoZnMnO 4 , from which the following ionic configurations can be induced: Cu 0.65 + Mn 0.35 3+ (Cu 0.35 2+ Co 3+ Mn 0.65 )O 4 , Co 2+ (Mn 2 3+ )O 4 , Co 2+ (Co 3+ Mn 3+ )O 4 and Zn(Co 3+ Mn 3+ )O 4 .
