Twelve early-type stars distributed around the sky but near the celestial equator have been compared in detail to the primary spectrnphotometnc standard a Lyr using photoelectric spectrum scanners All stars have been observed in selected 50-A bands from X 3390 to X 5840 and many of them from X 3390 to X 10800. The accuracy of the comparison with a Lyr is OWOl over most of the range of wavelength and 0w02 in the infrared beyond X 8000 and in the violet below X 3500.
