Electromagnetic induction on the FELIX brick with a hole has been analyzed with the 3-D EDDYNET computer code. In EDDYNET the conducting materials are represented by a network of current-carrying line elements, so that Maxwell's field equations can be replaced by Kirchoff's circuit laws. The number of independent variables equals the number of line currents minus the number of node equations imposed by the Kirchoff current law. Incorporating only 80 loop currents on 32 hexahedral elements, the 3-D EDDYNET program calculates total circulating currents, power dissipation, etc., which agree very well with other numerical results for 240, 260, and 1344 nodes. Eigenvector analysis is used to characterize the induced current distribution and dominant time constant.>
