This new gross anatomy text is produced in both paperback and hardcover editions, following a regional format. The text of 665 pages contains 449 diagrammatic, line, and four-color illustrations. Normal roentgenograms are distributed throughout the text. An additional 170 pages (also distributed throughout the book) contain clinical notes or applied anatomy in a sequence of clinical problems or case presentations. Answers to the problems are given at the end of the text. An additional 40 pages provide a dissection guide for those courses not using prosected material. Within the past decade, numerous gross anatomy texts have been written as abbreviated texts with the same introduction utilized by this author. Gross anatomy, as taught, is still too detailed and often far removed from the anatomy that one uses in clinical practice. Our author has then succeeded in presenting his less detailed clinical approach in some 876 pages. The author also states
