Systems Model Analysis of Hot Weather Housing for Livestock

ABSTRACT A mathematical model was developed to predict a Temperature-Humidity Index and a Black Globe Humidity Index as indicators of comfort for livestock ex-posed to ambient levels of solar radiation. Field research was conducted at the Central Farm Experimental Station in Belize. The Black Globe Humidity Index provided an indicator of comfort which included the significant ra-diant heat load under hot weather conditions.
