The symptomatic history of 85 patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy is pre- sented and, where appropriate, correlated with the clinical data, electrocardiography, radio- graphy, angiocardiography, and haemodynamic results. The effects ofpregnancy on the disorder and the occurrence of infective endocarditis are discussed.
