Preliminary results of a measurement of the angular distribution of 1. 08A neutrons scattered by liquid helium at 4. 2^ over the angular range 3. 8^ to 31^ are reported. A maximum in the scattering occurs at 21. 3¹^, corresponding to a peak at 3. 6A in the radial distribution of density about any atom in the liquid.
