The purpose of this experiment was to determine the effect of immedi ate and delayed knowledge of quiz results on three types of learning in freshman chemistry. The three types of learning were knowledge of facts and principles, application of facts and principles in non-quantitative prob Jems, and application of facts and principles in quantitative problems. Stu dents in the experimental group obtained immediate knowledge of quiz results by means of a newly constructed instrument.
