The active learning continuum: Choosing activities to engage students in the classroom

Abstract We believe that all instructors should find ways to include meaningful active learning approaches in their classes. This chapter provides a framework for choosing active learning strategies that take into account course objectives, teaching styles, and students' level of experience.
