A trichromatic colorimeter is described in which the integrating properties of a diffusing sphere are employed to effect the mixture of the three instrumental stimuli. Means are described for obtaining linearity of the scales. The general construction has been planned with a view to keeping the design as simple as is consistent with efficiency.
