This study was made to determine the reactions of patients to a general disclosure of complications which might result from angiographic procedures. To minimize bias and insure uniformity a form letter and questionnaire were chosen to impart this information. The results of this study indicate that the majority of patients referred to the Cleveland Clinic desired this information. I am convinced of the value of informed consent, for the benefit of both the patient and his physician.
