Is high 24 h systolic blood pressure load associated with target organ damage in patients with mild-to-moderate essential hypertension?
A high 24-hour systolic blood pressure load is associated with an adverse cardiovascular risk profile in patients with mild-to-moderate hypertension, independent of average ambulatory blood pressure.
Our results seem to suggest that, in mild-to-moderate arterial hypertension, a high 24 h systolic blood pressure load may be associated, independently of the average level of 24 h systolic ambulatory blood pressure, with an adverse cardiovascular risk profile.
