The radial velocities for the Hyades members presented in the accompanying paper (Griffin et al., 1988) have been used to obtain a new convergent-point solution for the Hyades. This solution (α = 98.2°±1.1°, δ = 6.1°±1.0°), together with a new dynamical analysis of the cluster dispersion and rotation, and the bulk proper motion of Hanson (1975), yield a space motion of 48.0±0.27 km s-1 and a distance to the cluster center of 45.4±2.1 pc, or a distance modulus of 3m.28±0m.10. The radial-velocity data support a cluster velocity dispersion of 230 m s-1, derived from the mass function and form of the cluster.
