Creativity is an elusive will of the wisp. We can neither summon it by will nor understand fully how it appears. Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo, who became his wife, were two of the greatest artists in all of Mexico. In this paper I will compare in as much as I am able, the way in which the creativity of each one developed - through the influence of their history, their family, the way their personalities unfolded, and their reactions to their life experiences.
