This paper examines the relationship between assertive personality traits and sexual satisfaction in 45 employed professional women. Data were collected by use of an Allport Scale to measure assertiveness and a Likert Scale to measure sexual satisfaction. Data were computer analyzed using Kendall's tau, factor analysis and cross-tabulations. Results show: (1) a positive correlation between assertiveness and reported sexual satisfaction; (2) that as age and length of marriage increase so does reported sexual satisfaction; and (3) that as assertiveness increases so do reports of more diverse sexual activity.
