This 19-item assessment was internally consistent and stable over a 2- to 3 week period. It converged significantly with multiple measures of body image evaluation and investment and with body mass. The results further revealed that women in the sample reported more positive than negative consequences of their body image for various domains of life. The implications of these findings and directions for continued validation of this unique measure are considered.
