To get an idea of pupils' preexisting knowledge of the objects of instruction, and in particular those topics linked to the contemporary world, the research team availed itself of the concept of social representation. The purpose of the work presented here was to test and analyze how a teacher can find out his pupils' perceptions or representations of things, in particular, by using a questionnaire, and be able to link these representations with his teaching. Several ways were explored using the object "the firm."
