Abstract In the context of the development of an efficient coupling method which improves aerothermal unsteady simulation accuracy, ONERA has achieved experimental validations based on a standard turbofan engine configuration. The objective of the present work is to carry out a detailed investigation of the wall temperature evolution during the aerothermal transient phase in a half-scale core compartment mock-up. A phase-averaged approach using IR thermography measurements is performed according to a methodology defined during previous simple tests. A post-processing with a radiative interchange correction is also proposed. Keywords: InfraredEngine core compartmentHeat Transfer Coefficient
