This review is largely based on the findings of our report, Informational Technology and the Impact on American Education, conducted by the Office of Technology Assessment and delivered to the Congress a little over a year ago. We also take into account subsequent events and analyses, including the recent release of an OTA report on manufacturing automation that examined the impacts of automation on education and training.
