The prevalence of heart failure (HF) with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is increasing. Physicians caring for these patients currently have limited therapeutic options beyond diuresis and management of comorbid conditions. Hence there remains an immediate and critical need for therapies to alleviate symptoms and meaningfully improve quality of life for patients with HFpEF.
