This paper presents a Green Energy system that has a novel grid interface. The Green Energy system comprises of a wind turbine, a solar panel, a battery storage system, a residential load and an electric vehicle (EV); and is grid integrated wirelessly using a novel matrix converter based bi-directional power interface. The wireless power interface is implemented using Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) technology, and both theoretical analysis and simulations results are presented to show that the proposed system can be used to efficiently transfer bi-directional power between the grid and the components of the green energy system.
