Finite rotation effects in numerical integration of rate constitutive equations arising in large‐deformation analysis

Abstract An improved algorithm is presented for integrating rate constitutive equations in large‐deformation analysis. The algorithm is shown to be ‘objective’ with respect to large rotation increments.
