The fundamentals of starting are investigated, and the development of an algorithm based on such an understanding is reported. The proposed algorithm is simulated, working with a full-wave inverter-controlled permanent-magnet DC brushless (PMDCBL) motor drive system. The simulation flowchart and results are described.
