From leisure and disability to disability leisure: developing data, definitions and discourses

Theorises empirical data from a Scope-funded study of young disabled people's leisure participation conducted by Aitchison. It serves to redefine 'leisure' in relation to established definitions and discourses, informing theory and policy in a new field of 'disability leisure', with recommendations adopted by disability charities and local authority leisure services.
