A building addition that centralizes and enlarges research facilities of the Illinois Water Survey is being dedicated this fall.The addition has made it possible for the Survey's Atmospheric Sciences Section to move to the central laboratory from temporary quarters eight miles away at the University Airport.Weather radar operations remain at the airport.It also provides centralized space for extensive data processing, storage, and computing facilities, as well as close access to computer facilities of the University.Ceremonial dedication will take place 14 October, with Illinois Governor Otto Kerner officially opening the building.
