Theodore Roosevelt declines a request to write for the Methodist Review , noting that he is under contract and writes only for the Metropolitan at the moment. Roosevelt thanks Mr. Parker for his excellent review but points out that his leadership of the Rio da Duvida expedition was vital. The expedition would not have gone had he not made it, and it went where he determined it ought to go.
