The Psychological and Social Effects Resulted from Unpaid Salaries to the Palestinian Authority Employees

This study aimed at determining the psychological and social effects resulted from unpaid salaries to the Palestinian Authority employees and to find out if there are significant differences in these effects due to gender, salary value, political affiliation. The study was conducted on a sample of 120 employees (60 males and 60 females), by using the scale of the psychological and social effects which was designed by the researchers. The results of the study revealed that most of the psychological and social effects which resulted from the unpaid salaries were:, stress, anxiety, losing enjoyment of life, depression, psychosomatic, loneliness, meaningless, indifference and criminality. In addition, there were significant differences due to gender in criminality variable in favor of males. Also, results indicated that the long the period of unpaid salaries, the worse the psychological condition was Psychological and social effects were negative, where there were a feeling of sorrow, anger, irritation, depression, stress and then meaningless, indifference and loneliness. Significant differences existed according to political affiliation in: stress, anxiety, losing enjoyment of life, depression, psychosomatic, loneliness, meaningless indifference, criminality and it has more effect on Fateh movement affiliation in total degree. Lastly, the result of the study showed there were no significant differences according to the salary value. تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة الآثار النفسية والاجتماعية لدى الموظفين بمحافظات غزة الناجمة عن ظاهرة عدم صرف رواتبهم، ومعرفة درجة اختلاف الفروق في هذه الآثار باختلاف كل من النوع، وقيمة الراتب، والميل التنظيمي، وأجريت الدراسة على عينة من (120) من الموظفين بالسلطة، وباستخدام مقياس الآثار النفسية والاجتماعية للعقم من إعداد عسلية توصلت الدراسة إلى: أن أكثر الآثار النفسية والاجتماعية التي تترتب على عدم صرف الرواتب كان: الضغوط النفسية، القلق، فقدان الاستمتاع بالحياة، والاكتئاب، ثم الاضطرابات السيكوسوماتية، والوحدة النفسية، وفقدان المعنى واللامبالاة، والاتجاه نحو الجريمة، كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق دالة بين الموظفين في مجال الاكتئاب، والاضطرابات السيكوسوماتية، والاتجاه نحو الجريمة لصالح الذكور، كما بينت النتائج أنه كلما زادت مدة عدم صرف الرواتب زادت الحالة النفسية سوءا، وكانت الآثار النفسية والاجتماعية سلبية، حيث يوجد الإحساس بالأسى والضيق والتوتر والاكتئاب والقلق ومن ثم فقدان المعنى واللامبالاة والوحدة النفسية، وكذلك كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا تبعا لمتغير الميل التنظيمي في مجالات: فقدان الاستمتاع بالحياة، والقلق، والاكتئاب، والاضطرابات السيكوسوماتية، والاتجاه نحو الجريمة، والدرجة الكلية للآثار لصالح ذوي الميول لحركة فتح، في حين لم توجد فروق في المجالات الأخرى، وأشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق دالة في جميع المحالات تبعا لمتغير قيمة الراتب.
