Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry which was shortened to PSI for the obvious practical reasons. The need for such a group arose out of a desire to pool experience in the tackling of problems arising in the industry and to encourage the search for better solutions. As well as organizing meetings, the group has set up a number of working parties. One of these is charged with looking into cross-over trials and it is this group which is presenting the paper today. A full report on the analysis of two period cross-over trials is being printed in BIAS, Vol. 9, No. 1.
