Health and societies: changing perspectives

This book reviews changing contemporary views of health, health services, and health policy using a range of examples from different countries (especially the US and Britain). It explores alternatives to conventional biomedical approaches to health and health services. The book is interdisciplinary and includes ideas from sociology, geography, health economics, anthropology, operations research, and policy analysis.
