Higher charging currents increase the quantity of negative electrode surface film. Degradation preferentially occurs along the center of the electrode roll. This degradation is related to insufficient electrode wetting. The center of the electrode roll delaminates at rates of 6-C. Delamination is caused by binder degradation from increased temperature.
