Does TAVR in bicuspid aortic valve stenosis yield similar prognosis and device success rates compared to tricuspid aortic valve stenosis?
TAVR provides similar prognostic outcomes in bicuspid versus tricuspid aortic stenosis, and new-generation devices appear to mitigate historical procedural differences.
Compared with tricuspid AS, TAVR in bicuspid AS was associated with a similar prognosis, but lower device success rate. Procedural differences were observed in patients treated with the early-generation devices, whereas no differences were observed with the new-generation devices.
