Does the existence of LA voltage areas < 0.4 mV covering more than 10% of the total LA surface area predict arrhythmia recurrence following PVAI for paroxysmal AF?
Patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation undergoing pulmonary vein antrum isolation (PVAI)
High-density electroanatomical mapping to detect left atrial (LA) voltage areas < 0.4 mV
Arrhythmia recurrencehard clinical
The presence of extensive left atrial low-voltage areas (>10% of surface area at <0.4 mV) identified by high-density mapping is a predictor of arrhythmia recurrence after ablation for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
These data demonstrate that the existence of LA voltage areas < 0.4 mV more than 10% of the total LA surface area predicts arrhythmia recurrence following PVAI for paroxysmal AF.
