The gastrointestinal function of mouse was studied by establishing the constipation model with whole nutritional millet porridge, supernatant of millet porridge and pellet of millet porridge as material. The experiment results showed that compared with constipation model group, the first defecation time, the amount and weight of feces, the moisture content, gastric emptying and small intestine motility rate of experimental mouse appeared a certain degree of difference (P < 0.05). The first defecation time of supernatant and pellet of millet porridge group, the amount of feces of whole nutritional millet porridge, supernatant, high and low dose pellet of millet porridge group were more significant than constipation model group; the weight of feces about each group were different to the model group, but the significance was not very obvious; The gastric emptying rate and the small intestine motility rate of whole nutritional millet porridge and supernatant of millet porridge group were significant different to constipation model group, especially. Therefore, different components of millet porridge could improve the gastrointestinal function of the constipation model mouse in a certain extent.
