This article brings a discussion about the female participation in Science with the goal of motivating the insertion and the permanence of women, mainly in hard Sciences: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematica. Uneven gender, with male prevalence in the scientific context, is the result of sociocultural factors, prejudice and beliefs about how each gender should behave in society. For women that desire for a scientific trajectory, it is essential to believe in their potential to break this vicious cycle of minority interest in this area.
