The article is devoted to studying the linguo-stylistic features of the Tatar poetry of the first half of the ХХ century and to the identification of the style-forming properties of poetic anthroponyms and toponyms in the language of fiction. It reveals literary-aesthetic features and semantics of onomastic units in the language of poetic texts. It is argued that in the anthroponymic system of the Tatar poetry of the first half of the ХХ century, proper names dominate, and surnames and nicknames are used in close connection with the idea-thematic guideline of a work. As a result of the research, the main functions of poetonyms in poetry are highlighted.
