We explain why the electrical driving of MicroLED displays is a very serious challenge and that CMOS technology may be necessary. We propose a new approach where elementary units consisting of all‐in‐one‐ RBG MicroLEDs on CMOS driving circuit are fabricated and transferred on simple receiving substrates. It will improve display driving and provide a drastic reduction of transfer steps. This approach is paving the way to ultra‐high quality microLED displays, and could also leverage a wide range of new applications together with new industrial models.
