In order to reduce the PV power fluctuation caused by meteorological changes, a PV power fluctuation suppression method for cascade hydro-pv-pumped storage generation system is presented in this paper. A multi-factor weighting factor suppression method is proposed based on considering short-term PV forecasting cumulative fluctuation error and pumped storage system state. The short-term target power determination function is established to obtain the short-term output target power of the PV power station, and then the power instructions of the FSC (Full Size Converter) pumped storage power station and cascade hydro station are calculated to compensate the PV power fluctuations. The FSC pumped storage system was used to suppress the PV power fluctuation initially, and the cascade hydro station was used to further suppress the PV power fluctuation. The simulation results show that the algorithm is simple and can effectively suppress the fluctuation of PV power.
