An Avionics Cyber Intrusion Detection System

This paper provides a fundamental evaluation of various aspects of intrusion detection systems as applied to an avionics system. First, this evaluation considers key characteristics of an avionics environment that differentiate the application of intrusion detections systems to this domain; one key characteristic evaluated was safety. Second, this paper provides the results from evaluating a prototype avionics intrusion detection system. This prototype evaluation considers the suitability of this prototype for application to an avionics environment.
