Preventive & Predictive Maintenance of Telecommunication Equipment - A Review

Maintenance is a process for which the objective is to keep the equipment in a working, efficient and cost-effective condition. There are different techniques used in maintenance, such as corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance. This paper is a review about preventive & predictive maintenance to learn more about the benefits of each type and how the implementation process should be for the telecommunication equipment. In addition, the role of the original equipment manufacturer has been summarized. Also, the link between stock of equipment and maintenance for an optimized solution discussed due to its high importance in the maintenance field.
