The article examines symbolic denotations and their semantic filling, reveals content analysis mechanisms and substantiates correlation of eidetic meanings and axiological foundations of value orientation formation. The research objective includes identifying the basic lexical representatives of the concept LOVE in the Russian paroemiological worldview. Scientific originality of the study involves a cardinally new approach to studying the concept. This approach emphasizes semiotic denotations transferring important cultural meanings and mental values. The research findings are as follows: the authors prove that the symbols-codes identified in the analysed texts represent the basic pragmatic components of the ontological worldview.
