A fully distributed consensus-based approach is proposes to optimally schedule electric vehicles (EVs) charging. The framework for EV charging coordination is established. Firstly, each EV computes a local control signal and exchange the information with its neighbours. The control signal profile updates have been achieved by a consensus algorithm. Then, EVs charging profiles have been updated based on the control signal broadcast by the utility in each iteration. The iteration continues until it converges to optimal scheduling. Hence, the optimization problem is solved according to consensus control signals updates from utility.
