As a form of online teaching, MOOC brings new opportunities and challenges for higher education. In MOOC era, the overall development of online teaching is not balanced and there is a lack of rational introspection on teaching and weakened value of educational subject. Therefore, people begin to develop new online learning models. In the post MOOC era, SPOC is a small-scale and restrictive online course which is highly accepted. SPOC model has consistent nature with the higher education online teaching mode, but also a difference in educational concept and operating mechanism.
