With the widespread use of UAVs in military struggles, how to take effective measures to achieve the detection of UAV targets has become a focus of attention in various countries. Obtaining target images based on photoelectric detection can overcome the shortcomings of traditional observation methods and effectively achieve detection and tracking for “low, slow, small” flying targets. In response to this problem, this article combines the development of target detection algorithms, discusses traditional target detection algorithms, two-stage and one-stage target detection algorithms based on deep learning, and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of different models based on the test results on the public data set.
