Surpassing the stiffness-extensibility trade-off of elastomers via mastering the hydrogenbonding clusters Two effective structural design approaches, physical-chemical interpenetrated network (pc-IPN) and chemical grafted elastic chemical network (cg-ECN), are demonstrated to surpass the well-known stiffness-extensibility trade-off in typical elastomers by improving both parameters. The microscopic dynamic pictures were proposed based on experimental and simulation data, and generated knowledge will be instrumental for other elastomer systems for functional elastic materials.
