Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world. The present paper provides an overview of the effects of climate change on the quality of coffee and the measures that can be taken to counteract its negative impacts. Climate change has a profound impact on the coffee industry, as it leads to changes in temperature, rainfall, as well as pests and diseases, which ultimately affect the quality of coffee and its processing. Nevertheless, the implementation of sustainable farming practices, certification systems, industry collaborations, and research and development efforts can play a significant role in mitigating these challenges. The effective management of climate change in the coffee industry necessitates a global initiative and cooperation, which involves the allocation of more resources towards sustainable farming practices, research and development, and support for coffee farmers and their communities. Additionally, further research and innovation are needed to develop climate-resilient coffee production practices that align with the principles of sustainability. Through collaborative efforts, various stakeholders can work together to develop and implement sustainable practices that promote the conservation of biodiversity and natural resources. Therefore, it is essential to address the challenges posed by climate change in the coffee industry through a coordinated and holistic approach that prioritizes the well-being of the environment and the people who depend on it.
