Keynote Lecture Presented at IEEE PELS Connecticut Chapter Kickoff Event

On 10 October 2023, the new IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Connecticut Chapter hosted its inaugural event at the University of Connecticut (UConn), USA. The keynote lecture and reception featuring students’ power electronics demonstrations were attended by 45 engineers from academia and industry from around New England ( Figure 1 ). The new PELS chapter collaborated with IEEE PELS and PES Chapters in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York for this event, which was sponsored by the UConn ECE Department and the Power Electronics & Drives Advanced Research Laboratory (PEARL).
