Abstract: Accidents on roads have become a significant concern worldwide, leading to numerous fatalities and injuries. Rapid response to accidents is crucial in saving lives and minimizing damage. In recent years, the integration of Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) and Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies has emerged as a promising solution for the timely detection and reporting of accidents. This paper provides a comprehensive review of various methodologies and techniques employed in accident detection systems utilizing GSM and GPS technologies. It evaluates the effectiveness, limitations, and future prospects of such systems in improving road safety.
