This study aims to determine the relationship between authoritarian parenting and emotional intelligence in students of SMP "X" Sukorejo. This type of research is quantitative using a correlational approach. The study population was 864 students of SMP "X" Sukorejo. The sample of this study amounted to 209 students based on the Krejcie & Morgan table with an error rate of 5%. The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling. The research data collection technique used an authoritarian parenting scale (reliability = 0.948) and an emotional intelligence scale (reliability = 0.865) adopted from previous research. The data analysis technique used Pearson's product moment correlation with the help of SPSS 26.0 for windows. The results of the analysis obtained a correlation coefficient rxy = -0.744 with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). This shows that the higher the authoritarian parenting, the lower the students' emotional intelligence and vice versa
