The purpose of this study is to reassess the perception of Salpuri dance, with a specific focus on the transformative aspect highlighted in the concept of change within 『Zhouyi』. Despite the recognized historical, academic, and artistic value of Salpuri dance, societal interest in it has remained relatively low. This can be attributed to the prevailing perception of Salpuri dance as a ritual aimed at warding off evil and promoting physical well-being through its mystical connotations. However, Salpuri dance has played a crucial role in the collective consciousness of our society, offering a means to address the challenges and dissatisfactions of its time. In essence, our ancestors utilized Salpuri dance as a form of solace to navigate the complexities of life.In light of this, the study explores the inherent elements of exorcism and the underlying intentions of the dance, emphasizing the principle of benevolence. Through this examination, it becomes evident that Salpuri dance, rooted in benevolence, serves as a vehicle for resolving life's regrets and facilitating a transition towards a harmonious state. Consequently, this research contends that by emphasizing the benevolent aspects of Salpuri dance, it can not only broaden its appeal but also elevate its status as an artistic endeavor that nurtures the human spirit and fosters a resilient will to live.
