This study aims to delve into the impact of utilizing ChatGPT and other AI tools on the discourse writing performance of English major students, as well as to explore their potential value and future prospects in the field of English education. With the continuous development and application of artificial intelligence technology, AI tools have gradually demonstrated their unique advantages and potential in language learning and writing instruction. However, for English major students, how to effectively utilize these technological tools to enhance their discourse writing abilities remains a subject of considerable interest.
